Installation and commisioning of Clara Plus system in Yabdo Gojela kebele
Access to safe water is a fundamental right, yet many communities continue to struggle with waterborne diseases and inconsistent supply. The Yabdo Gojela installation project represents a paradigm shift in rural water management. By integrating the innovative Clara Plus system, we have moved beyond temporary fixes to provide a permanent, self-sustaining water disinfection solution. This project doesn’t just deliver technology; it delivers health, resilience, and operational independence to the West Hararge zone. Through strategic partnership and engineering excellence, we are setting a new standard for sustainable water infrastructure in Ethiopia.
The objective of the project was to provide a sustainable and autonomous water disinfection system for the local community to eliminate waterborne pathogens The project successfully transitioned the site from an untreated source to a fully chlorinated, safe water supply. Beyond the hardware, the initiative included comprehensive user training for local operators, ensuring the community has the skills to manage and maintain their new utility independently. This installation serves as a model for utilizing robust, on-site chlorine generation to overcome the logistical challenges of rural chemical supply chains.
